Kate Morgan

Kate graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2016 and began her career in mixed practice. She then spent six years at a busy equine hospital in the North East, developing her clinical skills and experience in a wide range of cases.
In 2024, Kate moved into ambulatory equine practice in North Yorkshire, where she took on responsibility for the reproduction caseload alongside routine visits and emergency care on the road. She has a Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice, and has particular interests in equine reproduction, internal medicine, and poor performance cases.
Kate brings a practical, thoughtful approach to her work, combining up-to-date knowledge with clear communication and a calm manner. Outside of practice, she enjoys spending time with her young family and keeping up with her two dogs, a cocker spaniel who is often her passenger princess and her oversized labrador often referred to as “The Shetland”!
Katherine Shepherd

Director and Veterinary Surgeon
Katherine graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2015 and began her career as an intern at an equine practice in North Yorkshire. During this time, she supported the hospital caseload, building experience in anaesthesia, lameness, surgery, and medicine. She then moved into the ambulatory team, managing a high volume of cases on the road and becoming a familiar face on many yards across the region.
Katherine has completed her Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice and passed her examination in Equine Internal Medicine in 2023. She is also qualified to perform acupuncture and carries out riding school inspections on behalf of the local council.
She brings a steady, practical approach to her work, with a strong focus on clear communication and consistent care.
Katherine will be working behind the scenes while she finishes her maternity leave, she is excited to be back on the road from January 2027.
Charlotte Miller
BVM&S (Hons) MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon
Charlotte graduated with honours from the University of Edinburgh in 2022 before moving to New Zealand to complete her first internship at an equine hospital, where she developed a passion for Thoroughbreds. She then returned to Edinburgh for a further internship, developing particular interests in lameness, surgery and emergency care, while also enjoying the opportunity to teach final-year veterinary students.
In 2025, Charlotte moved to North Yorkshire to work as a racing and ambulatory vet, where she continued to pursue her interests in poor performance, orthopaedics and reproduction. She is currently completing a Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice and contributes to charity work supporting working equids and their role in women’s equality.
Charlotte brings a practical and diligent approach to her work, alongside a strong commitment to the care of both horses and their owners.
Outside of work, Charlotte enjoys surfing, yoga and travelling, and is rarely without her faithful spaniel shadow, Tarka.
